Time to Check your Flexis!

What is a Flexi Hose?

Flexible plumbing hoses are rubber pipes surrounded by braided lengths of stainless steel. They’re used to connect water to taps and fixtures, usually found under the sinks, in the bathroom, laundry or kitchen.

Flexible braided hoses have a limited lifespan, with constant use and the daily effects of twisting, stretching, and water pressure.

Why do I need to check them?

They tend to burst when the external braiding breaks down due to rust and corrosion. A burst flexi hose can cause flooding of a home or apartment within hours! Causing damage to cabinetry, flooring, carpet, plasterboard, and even structural damage or in apartments – damage & flooding to the floors below.

Don’t become a statistic…

It’s estimated that 22% of all water damage in Australian homes is caused by a burst flexible hose, according to data provided by IAG, one of Australia’s leading insurance agencies.
